eobee - Terms of Service

Draft pending legal review. These terms describe the current service accurately, but have not yet been reviewed by a qualified attorney. A review is tracked in issue #9.

Who we are

eobee is a consumer health application that helps you understand your insurance plan, audit claims, and draft appeals. eobee is not a health care provider, health plan, or law firm. The app provides informational decision support, not medical or legal advice.

Accounts

You must be 18 or older and a US resident to use eobee. One person per account. You’re responsible for safeguarding your credentials.

Acceptable use

• Don’t upload documents that aren’t yours.
• Don’t try to reverse-engineer the model prompts or bypass rate limits.
• Don’t use the shared provider directory to upload contact information you know to be incorrect.
• Don’t use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate anyone.

Health and legal decisions

AI-generated summaries, findings, and draft messages are informational. Verify against your plan documents and consult a qualified professional before making medical or legal decisions. eobee is not liable for decisions made based on output from the app.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service (spamming the provider directory, submitting fraudulent uploads, etc.).

Changes

We’ll post changes to these terms on this page and note the “last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in-app with a 14-day notice window before taking effect.

Governing law

Placeholder: governed by the laws of the US state where the operator resides. Final choice of law and venue will be determined as part of the pending legal review.
